Fall Tour and More Festivals!
The season of mist and mellow fruitfulness is upon us. Great Lakes folks appreciate the Fall like no other season... the turning months that make you truly savour every taste, smell, touch, vision... as you feel winter’s promise in your heart and bones.
We will be taking that spirit - to all corners of the land this Autumn. Winter is coming, yes - but it’s come before. We’ll be ready. Let’s get together in your town, and turn on the lovelights ... they always shine brighter with a good storm behind them.
We’ll have Daniel Rodriguez, late of Elephant Revival, and as nimble of a light/shadow navigator as you could hope for, on most of the Fall dates in the US and Canada, with brief but wild runs with Anthony Da Costa ( thank you Cinci for a beautiful night- tonight we’re in Cleveland at the Music Box Supper Club, and Sept 7th at Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville,OH)- Maya DiVitry ( DC! Columbia,MD!), and Smokey and the Mirror (NY! Boston! Camden, ME!) thrown in to boot. Plus one very special show with The Mammals at Levon Helm’s legendary Midnight Ramble Barn in Woodstock, NY on October 6th.
And Festival season is not yet done - we’ll be making stops at Black Swamp Arts Festival, AMERICANAFEST (our showcase is at Third Man Records on Thursday September 13th at 9:00pm - fest wristbands required and you’ll get to hear a lot of fabulous bands for your buck- there’s a free app where you can schedule and like the bands -hint hint- that you want to see and find out about all the showcases, day parties, in stores etc), Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, Arcadia Folk Festival, and The LEAF Festival.
If you want to make sure you don’t miss us when we come through you can “track” us on Bandsintown- and they’ll notify you when we’re in your area. It makes us sad to hear from folks after the fact that they didn’t know we’d been in their town till too late...
Tell a pal. Tell a mildly friendly employee at your local co-op. Tell a flat earther and a ren-faire quarterstaff specialist. Tell everybody. Let’s get together and feel alright.
May these last days of Summer fortify you,
